Unlike many cafes that import pre-roasted beans, EDGE is a micro-roastery. They source high-quality green coffee beans from sustainable farms across the Bean Belt (such as Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil, and Kenya) and roast them in-house. This ensures maximum freshness and allows them to profile each coffee origin to bring out its unique flavor characteristics.
Located in the Bohemian Heart of Skopje
EDGE is situated in Debar Maalo, Skopje’s most famous bohemian neighborhood. Debar Maalo is traditionally known for its leafy streets and old-school Macedonian taverns (kafanas). The placement of a hyper-modern, minimalist specialty coffee shop in this traditional area creates a fascinating cultural contrast, bridging the gap between old Skopje and the new, globalized city.
